On October 17th of this year, the activity "For a Better Future" began in the morning.
This activity began with a call to the children and adults of the community to be present at the meeting place. Then the group was divided into two subgroups. The first group with the children and mothers was assigned the cleaning of the environment. The second group with the adults was given the task of making the fence for the pilot program of planting native trees in the community of Puerto Chentico.
After finishing the cleaning activity, group 1 returned to the meeting point (enrramado) to wash their hands. There was an interactive talk about the experience of the cleaning day, in which the children actively participated. Afterwards, lunch was distributed to the participants of the cleaning activity.
The second group was responsible for making the fences for the pilot program. It was decided that the next activity would be planting native trees. Afterwards, the participants of this group went to lunch. Lunch consisted of pasta, chicken and vegetables, and juice.
The event was attended by 53 children, 7 teenagers and 21 mothers, two representatives of terramada and three volunteers.
At the end of the activity, there were reflections on environmental protection and not to throw away waste.
Thanks were given for the participation and evidence (photos) of the activity was taken.
