On October 1st of this year at 6:00 a.m. the activity began.
The intention of this visit was to carry out two activities. Together with the community of Loma Fresca, two groups were organized for these activities.
The first group was in charge of carrying
out a day of tree planting, which consisted of planting native trees in the
area of the community within a fenced enclosure for protection of goat
grazing. A talk was given on how to
plant a tree and how to take care of it for the next few years. The activity
was very profitable and was carried out in a satisfactory way.
The second group was in charge of the
cleaning and cleaning day in the community and its surroundings. The garbage
bag collection area (basket) was organized and a padlock was placed on it to
prevent the entry of animals that destroy the bags.
After finishing the two activities we
proceeded to provide refreshments to both groups.
At the end of the day we chose a sponsor
for each tree. This person will be in charge of the watering and well being of
the tree under his/her care.
The activity was attended by 50 people,
including children, youth and adults, plus three collaborators and a
representative of terramada.
